Attention: To ensure a quick and easy submission of your application, we recommend that you type your short statements addressing the application prompts (as described on the right under "to qualify for an invitation to attend") in a word document. You can easily copy and paste them into the application. You will not be able to save your progress during the submission process.
To qualify for an invitation to attend:
Be a rising junior or senior undergraduate student (post-baccalaureate and/or graduate students are also eligible to apply)
Be a U.S. citizen (or permanent resident or DACA recipient) OR studying in the U.S.
Achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher for all college work
Submit open house application including:
Academic and personal information
Short statement (2-3 sentences) indicating your research interest (hint: if applicable reference faculty you would like to work with)
Short statement (2-3 sentences) highlighting your most recent undergraduate research or work experiences
Short statement (2-3 sentences) sharing how you would contribute to the diversity of the College of Engineering and the Ohio State University as a whole OR how you have overcome adversity in your life or academic career.
Optional short statement (2-3 sentences) describing a significant challenge you have experienced in your academic/professional/personal life and how you overcame it.
