Welcome to the Virtual Graduate Engineering Open House 2020 Event Page

The Graduate Engineering Open House (GEOH) functions as a graduate program preview for prospective students and provides an opportunity to learn about what the College of Engineering has to offer you as a graduate student. GEOH is an invite only event. Learn more about how you can apply for consideration here.

While we are unable to meet face-to-face this year, the same opportunities offered during the on-campus event will be offered during our virtual open house. Recognizing that our prospective students will have many competing priorities during fall term we will be offering our open house as a series of events. Our main event will take place on Saturday, with program and research specific opportunities offered throughout the following week. A detailed event agenda can be found here.

Dates: November 7-14, 2020

The Ohio State University and its College of Engineering are committed to recruiting the best and brightest students for our graduate engineering programs.

Our Graduate Engineering Open House is open to engineering, computer science, chemistry, math, and physics students. We are particularly interested in female, racial and ethnic groups (African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Native American and Native Alaskan) historically underrepresented in STEM fields, veterans, LGBTQ+, and students from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

The College of Engineering is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.  As outlined in our Strategic Plan, diversity in culture, ethnicity, and background are essential for the health of the engineering disciplines.  The demand for engineering talent is so strong that it cannot be satisfied without the fullest participation.

Students from the following organizations or programs are encouraged to apply: AISES, LSAMP, McNair, NSBE, SHPE, SWE and Tau Beta Pi.
